Lecturer and Senior Researcher at University of Galway
Dr. Cormac Forkan is a lecturer and applied sociologist based at the University of Galway and a Senior Researcher at the UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre. Over the last 25 years, he has dedicated his research career to exploring the community and voluntary sectors add value to the lives of young people with whom they work. Along with a core research team, he has just led the largest academic study of its kind conducted in Ireland investigating the social value of alternative education provision for its participants.
