Dr Jordana Hoenig is a researcher and teacher in the School of Education at the University of New South Wales. She brings three decades of experience as a primary school principal in independent schools to her scholarship. Her Doctor of Education explored primary school students’ perceptions of the meaning and feeling of school connectedness and the factors that influence their experiences. Using qualitative methodologies, she centres student voice in research aimed at improving health, wellbeing and learning outcomes. Her broader interests include diverse pedagogies and evidence-based practices across primary, secondary and tertiary education settings.
